The dynarope® HF 37 Tension Meter from Tractel is a precision instrument designed for direct measurement of tensile forces in loaded cables and wire ropes. Its clamp-on design allows the device to be installed directly onto a tensioned cable without disconnecting or modifying the system.
During measurement, the integrated load cell converts the mechanical force applied by the cable into an electrical signal proportional to its tension. The signal is processed and shown immediately on the fixed digital display, providing an accuracy of better than 1% of full scale (FS).
Since cable construction can influence measurement results, the HF 37 incorporates an extensive wire-rope database covering common cable configurations. Parameters such as diameter, material, construction, stiffness, and density can be considered, while customized settings can be configured for specialized cable types.
Suitable for cables from 5–18 mm, the instrument features an IP65-rated enclosure for reliable field operation. The HF 37 series can also be connected to a PC via USB, allowing measurement results to be transferred, managed, and stored electronically.
