Strap winches are used to secure Winch Straps on flat-bed and low-loader trucks. One side of the trailer contains the straps, the other contains the winches. When securing a load the strap is pulled over the load, passed through the winch and tightened using a winch bar, this built-in lashing system is frequently used on trucks throughout the United States and beyond. Often these winches are fitted to tracks on the side of the truck that allows them to slide up and down the side of the truck to enable the user to adjust the position of the tie-down points for maximum convenience and load security.
