Thern Davit Crane Limit Switches can be purchased and added to any Thern 'Limit-Switch-Ready' Winch (see below list of winches) and will protect owners from having to shell out thousands of dollars in replacement components when operators don't pay attention and over-travel the hook, which can cause fatal incidents in some applications (maybe that's a little dramatic- but you get the picture!). A Thern Limit Switch when combined with a Headache Ball will stop the operation of the winch when the weight comes in to contact with the switch that is fitted at the end of the boom.
