How it works:
- Fit the handle to your drill to help reduce and prevent the rotational forces that are be applied under operation. It is of paramount importance to use both hands when using Speedbinders.
- We recommend setting the torque level (dial located on the collar) to seven to begin with. This gets nearly all chains super tight. Adjust up or down the numerical range to best meet your requirements.
- Pull your slack in on second or third gear (you'll find the switch on top of the drill) and switch down to the first gear when you feel any pressure of the drill pulling down.
- As your chain gets close to the desired tension, ease off a little on the button because you will begin to experience some twisting torque on the drill.
- Crosby has approved the use of a 3/8 impact. It's lighter, easier to use, and you can operate with a single hand. Please do not use a 1/2" impact ad this will void the warranty. The trade-off is that the drill gets the chains tighter, but you will have some twist to counter. The impact is easier to use and will wear the drive bolt sooner. Drive bolts take just five minutes to replace and we have them listed for sale here
