Designed to be easily moved and placed by hand, DICA’s FiberTech Outrigger Pads provide exceptional rigidity at a lower overall weight.
Manufactured from FRP material featuring over 13 layers of quad axial continuous glass fibers combined with vinyl ester resin, load distribution over larger areas is possible while retaining true structural strength and stiffness. The non-conductive FiberTech range boasts an incredible service life of 20+ years.
Available in 3 sizes with safe working load limits up to 170,000lbs – covering a square footage area up to 12.5sq.ft (largest size) – the FiberTech Outrigger pad has a crush rating starting from 600psi.
Designed with recessed TuffGrip handles for easy carrying, rolling out these innovative mats is easy, safe, and requires less effort than traditional wooden or thermoplastic variations.
In addition, FiberTech Outrigger Mats are easy to clean, whilst never absorbing bacteria or other pollutants.
These Super-Duty Outrigger Mats are typically used for: Off Rubber, Concrete pump trucks, aerial lifts, digger derricks, boom trucks, self-erecting tower cranes, mobile substations, rock crushers, scaffolding, service & tow trucks, forestry trucks, well drilling trucks, knuckle boom cranes, and carrier mounted tower cranes.
SIZING & FITTING OF DICA OUTRIGGER PADS
The FIT Assessment is one step of the Fitting Process, designed to help you select the best outrigger pad, or crane pad, solution for your requirements. Typically, we like to start with the crane manufacturer and model to ensure that the pads are appropriately sized for the application. Below is a short overview of the fitting process.
1 - EQUIPMENT: To properly recommend options, we must first understand your equipment’s 1-maximum outrigger reaction force and foot/float overall shape and area.
2 - Pad Type & Thickness: With this information, we can ensure that our DICA product recommendations provide the appropriate combination of shear strength, compression strength, and rigidity to support and distribute the imposed loads and pressures over the intended area.
3 – Pad Size/Area: Once the minimum strength requirements have been established, we work to clarify different pad sizes (area) options based on assumed outrigger reaction forces and target ground bearing pressures.
4 – Other Considerations: To identify any other restrictions, limitations, or needs that you may have.
We strongly believe that it is our responsibility to ensure that the products that your select have the appropriate strength to eliminate any chance of product physical failure, and the rigidity to transfer load to the ground to accomplish your objectives
