The KStrong® BRUTE™ Backer™ LE 8.5 ft. Cable Self-Retracting Lifeline (SRL-LE) is a rugged, reliable fall protection device designed specifically for challenging environments where traditional anchor points aren’t available overhead or near potential leading edges. Its innovative design allows users to maintain maximum safety while working in tight or awkward spaces.
Constructed with a galvanized steel wire rope (3/16” diameter), the Backer™ LE offers a minimum breaking strength of 3,400 lbs., delivering strong, dependable performance even under demanding conditions. For corrosion resistance and specialized applications, a stainless steel wire rope option is also available.
The system features a swivel rebar hook at the connector end for secure anchoring, paired with a sturdy shock pack and a twin SRL connector at the harness attachment point to ensure smooth shock absorption and safe fall arrest. The durable plastic casing is ultralight and compact, making it nearly unnoticeable on the user’s back for enhanced comfort throughout the workday.
Designed as a single-leg retractable lanyard with a stamped steel scaffold hook (PN 167), this SRL is ideal for work where overhead anchor points are absent or limited, especially near edges where fall hazards are high.
