The Tractel blocstop® BSA is a robust fall-arrest safety device designed to provide reliable secondary protection for loads during lifting, pulling and tensioning operations. Featuring a semi-automatic design and dual-rope suspension, the blocstop® BSA provides an additional layer of security should the primary suspension system or lifting equipment fail.
Designed for use with tirfor® and tirak® hoists, the blocstop® BSA is installed on a secondary or tensioned wire rope. In the event of a defect or failure in the primary suspension rope, hoist or tensioning device, the blocstop® acts to safely hold or restrain the load, helping to prevent uncontrolled movement.
Available with capacities of 1,500, 3,000 and 6,000 lbs, the BSA can be used across a variety of lifting and material-handling applications where dependable secondary load protection is required.
The blocstop® BSA is also suitable for use with warehouse overhead doors, where it can securely hold the door in the open position and protect against rapid or uncontrolled closing when an overspeed condition is detected.
