The Tractel tirak® air hoist provides a reliable lifting solution for specialist environments where electrical power is unavailable, unsuitable or simply not the preferred option. Powered by compressed air, it combines the proven tirak® operating principle with the flexibility and practicality of pneumatic operation.
Instead of an electrical power supply, the hoist connects to a suitable compressor via an air hose, delivering compressed air at the required pressure and volume. This makes the air-powered tirak® particularly well suited to installations where compressed air is already readily available or where electrical equipment cannot conveniently be used.
Despite the different power source, the fundamental tirak® working principle remains unchanged. Both the electric and air-powered tirak® hoists are manufactured to the same exacting quality standards and are certified for man-riding applications, providing dependable performance where personnel lifting is required.
For additional safety, a blocstop® overspeed device is included. BSO protection is provided for single-line applications, while BS/BSO configurations are available for dual-line applications.
