What is the best electric chain hoist?

The best electric chain hoist is really a subjective question and determined entirely by the person who has to buy it and use it- if you need a hoist at a fair price, quickly and you're looking to use it in an industrial application; choose a Bison. If you're looking for a seriously professional domestically built hoist and you have a little time to wait for build; choose a CM. If you're looking for a particular brand name- we've got that too; Harrington, Coffing, Yale etc. Each hoist has it's own unique benefits, to find out which is best for you we recommend giving our experts a call

What are the different mounting options?

Most electric chain hoists can be mounted by different suspension types, typically these are; hook, lug, manual or electric trolley. Hook and lug suspension are ideal for vertical lifting in a static position, often attached to a beam clamp, sling or other suitably rated suspension point. Manual and electric trolleys enable horizontal traverse of a hoist along a beam, the wheels of the trolley clamp or bolt on to the beam and offer a smooth and effective method of travel
